I have been reading up on these and actually found a used one for a decent price. Question i have is, what is the difference between the kits? RTR; does this include EVERYTHING but batteries? i know it is around 250.
Now, the one i found is claimed to cost 450 (ARTR kit, speed controller and motor). I guess it will still need the remote and batteries? what do these cost? what would be a decent price for it?
thanks,

the rtr includes everything battery and all. but it is cheaply made using plastic links, plastic steering arms and cheap electronics. but it does include the front locker and open diff.
the artr depends on if it is straight from axial or one of the many other companies that have artr packages.
for my remote i use the basic futaba fairly cheap and works good. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXASX2**&P=ML
if you need batteries i have 6 venom 3000 mah nimh that are new in the box if you want i can sell you a few for $20 each they are about $25 new with my 75t motor i get over an hour on these.
and dont forget about a charger

i believe it is the kit that has a lot of aluminum parts so i figure it is from AX10 and runs around 260 w/o any electronics. As far as the batteries, how many do you have in yours to get 1 hour out of it?

Your looking at the artr! For a hour run time I would have 3-4 lipo batteries fully charged.

As far as the batteries, how many do you have in yours to get 1 hour out of it? i just have 1 6 cell 3000mah nimh venom. i get an hour + run time with my 75 turn motor, and about 45 min on my 45t and 35t

Mine has a 5100Mah Team Orion with Novak Fifty Five.
Truck is an AX-10 ARTR
More than an hour of heavy runtime. I would say 1,5hours.

1450mah, nimh, 7 cell 2/3 a pack from cheapbatterypacks.com. Running rooster esc, 55T (3 yo) motor, stock gearing I get easily 1 hour runtime. But I do wheel easy. If I get on it alot, its 45 min.

No, The RTR Kit Does NOT Come With A Battery Or A Charger. Everything But These Two.
