To go from a 3.45 ratio to a 5.13 do I have to get a new carrier?

You have to get a new differential.

I believe I read that all RC D60 frontends use the same carrier.

3.54's might use a different carrier. I know that a 4.10 gear set uses the same carrier as the 5.13's. But not sure on the 3.54.

yep all the RC60's used the same carrier and it is the same carrier as the 3.54 standard rotation carrier.

It is 3.54 typed it wrong earlier

Thanks for the replies just got off the phone with a local gear house and accoriding to my Assy # it does take a different carrier and they also told me that on just about all Dana frt axles if you have a 4.10 now, your safe anything numerically lower requires a different carrier. Damn and I got my gears, locker and install kit and can't do crap with em till I get a carrier now. <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0">

RC60's use one one carrier and that is the high speed one ie: 3.54 and such so your 5.13's will fit just fine no new carrier needed. This is why the RC60 don't go to 7.17 like the standard 60's.
