Any feedback regarding water cooled tig torches?
Recently purchased a Miller 200, and the Coolmate 3. My Tig guy is spending most of the day welding rollbars, and with the new setup, he is going to be welding even more.
Was looking at https://weldingsupply.securesites.com/cgi-bin/enlarge.pl?main/Weldcraft/wp20.gif:WP-20,+20P,+25+200-250+Amps+Water+Cooled
any other suggestions?
needs to be pretty small to get into the tight places on roll bars and roll cages, but also heavy duty enough to weld 4 hrs per day.
thanks

There are few out there, but weldcraft torches seems to be a little better cause it has a small/light torch body, and uses common consumables.

The #20 is my torch of choice. I use CK FlexLoc's at work, really like the swivel torch head.
I have been spoiled by water cooled torches for the last 4 years. I have had to use an air cooled torch twice and hated every minute of it. My hand got hot, fast.
I would keep a short bodied torch, and a flex head torch around with hoses already hooked up. Get extra hoses for everything too. Just a tiny hole in any one of the hoses and it will be a mess.

thats the one i have BUT probably would step up to the better lines that are more flexable, mine are fine in the summer but in the winter they get stiff. Ed

The weldcraft torches are hard to beat. I tig weld for a living, we use water cooled Miller Syncrowave 250 DX's at work and weld stainless steel 10 hours a day with a weldcraft torch and never gets hot.

x2 on weldcraft!

We use the same set up at my work as well. I never use it for 10hrs straight, but for the hour or two here and there I use it, the torch stays fairly cool. Def get spare hoses though, because if it gets used/moved alot, you can bet on a cut from time to time.
