I have stock YJ's in the works here on the project truck with the full TT YJ kit...
it's not done yet...BUT...there looks like there is going to be a lot of side to side play in the front axle.
Yes...it will be street driven at times.
How bout the Spidertraxx Panhard kit??
$300 seems like a lot, when I could make my own...
but thiers seems like some design study went into the axle bind issue?
What do you guys run, if anything???

Are you planning to be Shackle Reverse in front, or Missing Links? I had the Spidertrax panhard bar when I had rear Rancho's up front and Missing Links, and it made a huge difference in steering control both on-road and off. It was also an exceptionally well-built kit.
When I upgraded to the YJ springs with a shackle reversal up front, I fully intended on adapting the Spidertrax kit to work with this suspension, but after test-driving it without the panhard bar, I was amazed at how good the axle control was with this suspension setup. I absolutely did not need the panhard bar anymore! So I gave the kit to my friend since he had the Rancho/Missing Link setup up front and needed the panhard 100 times more than I did.
Panhard bars aren't hard to make. The biggest concern is proper geometry and strength of the bar and mounts. The Spidertrax kit simplifies this because all the R&D and testing has already been done. You just bolt their kit on and you know it's going to work. But if you'd rather build your own, go for it.

Guess I'll wait to see when it's all together how handling is?
and yes...it's a missing link front system.

I am running rear springs up front with phanard bar. I builded it by myself keeping same lenght, angle and joint height as draglink.
Handling is much better, and I really recomend it.

I have the YJ's up front and had to add the panhard bar. The Spidertrax kit is awesome but it won't work with the 2 1/2"-wide YJ springs. I just bought the materials from them and made my own for around $75.
Unlike Zukiman, I found that the lateral axle travel on tight turns was letting my tires wander into my shocks and my shocks wandered into my spring top plates and got all scraped up. The turning radius left something to be desired also with the longer YJ springs. I DID NOT need to add it for the ride or overall on-street handling though. As was said above, that fealt fine with the YJ install. If you do a better job than I did in making sure you have plenty of clearance around those front tires and you experience the same friendly driveability on the street, the only thing a panhard bar will do for you is to help your turning radius.
If you decide to make one, they are pretty simple. Just match the length and geometry of your drag link and use beafy material. I used a 1/2" grade 5 bolt in single shear to attach to my passenger side spring top plate. The bolt bent about 15 degrees on the first minor trail ride. The four nylock bolts on the other side holding the mount to the frame all came loose as well. Just "supersize" the parts order and you'll be fine.

I guess it's my turn to be a dick. :flipoff2:
DID YOU DO A SEARCH?
We just beat this subject to death a few weeks ago. Here, I did one for you. It was so hard!!!!!!!!!

 A little cranky aren't we? :D: Well, someone had to say it.....
Actually I thought it was a test to see if we would all have the same answers again.
