like the title says, where do i measure at to find the axle shaft length? I just bought a 14 bolt SF and want to put in 6 lug, but there's a whole bunch of lengths of shafts you can buy. i pulled the shaft today and measured 32.5" as shown in my highly technical diagram below. problem is, nobody makes 32.5" shafts, so i think i'm measuring in the wrong spot. thanks.

Wheel mount surface to end of shaft. Are you trying to convert from 8 lug to 6? housings are different and so is the brake offset.

thanks. yes, i'm converting it to 6 lug. do i include the part after where the c-clip goes on in my measurement? and i knew the brake offset was different, but what do you mean by the housing being different? thanks man.

The 8 lug housing is a different width, so swapping the axle shaft will not work. If it was that easy it would have been done a few thousand times by now. Find a complete assy.
