I have a new carrier for my rear, and was wondering if the spider gears have any sort of bearings or do they just have the metal type bearings like a engine does for rods.

I know you punch the pin through to remove, how hard is it to do this. It looks simple, but are they deceiving?

No bearings on the spider gears. It is pretty easy to punch the pin through. There is usually a bolt that holds it in, take that out then take a punch and a hammer and drive it through.

some dana carriers use a roll pin, and you cant see it if you dont know where to look.
