got a 95 Chevy, got in the truck the other day and had no blinkers. as soon as you put a fuse and turn the key it blew. well i finally after hours and hours of searching found it. i had tracing electrical think i would weather rebuild and engine. anyway cover it stuck in a fuse no blow i was happy. then i noticed that the front left light was blinking and only the front left. the switch was not let to left it was in the center. now you can put it to the left position and front and back both work fine. back to center and the front left still blinking. go to the right and that side works fine with the left front still blinking. the hazards work. i have no clue how this could even happing anyway does any one have a clue on what this is and how to fix it?

Replace your flasher relay, $15 at the dealer, should look like this or something similar:

And this is not Chevy 4x4 tech....it doesn't belong here. This is a question for the stock guys over on one of those other 'boards.

I cant remember what flasher your truck has but if you cant find one like above them look at the fuse box itself, there should be at leat one large plastic module plugged into the fuse panel. One is usually the door chime and if there is a second then that will be the flasher module.

There is a fues box on the dasbord by the drivers side door. but only fueses. there is a juction boz under the dash were cars used to have boxes. it has one set of wires pluged into it, and the hazerd flasher. maybe next weekend i will go to the pick apart and hofuly find somthing that has the dash out and maybe i can find it.

I just dont understand how it could only send power to the frount left and no were else, exept when you through the switch

You need to change your blinker fluid, or it somehow got wired wrong.

OK OK enjoy my lack of spelling skills. yep they suck and so bad the spell cheek cant catch them all.
yes the break lights work fine. and no I'm not trying to be cheep i don't mind spending the 20 bucks are less for the turn signal flasher actual according to az web sight is 9 bucks, but ant going to do me any good if i don't know were it is.

flame away i will take it if it helps me figer this out. i did not have this much frustration doing the SAS and engine swap on my 81 Datsun

OK OK, on my 94 K Blazer the flasher (and it is labeled) is a black square box style flasher located right below the E-brake pedal ...as if you were to put the E-brake down you'd think you'd cruch the flasher with your foot...... There are two side by side "black boxes".

Although, you never did say what '95 Chevy you were (trying to) talking about........ :)

I believe the S10 series it may be behind the dashboard....behind the ashtray..?

Oh PS.....it is way way beyond spell check. I think spell check is like WTF dude? You've put spell check into a head spin!......:flipoff2:

WTH??? I just saw a post by you ........and it is completely understandable???? Are you OK?....LOL

I'm glad that i can give you guys a good chuckle at my lack of spelling. Anyway it is a 95 silverodo. your 94 is different than the 95 they changed the insides of the trucks in 95. my box by the ebrake has the hazards flasher and a plug in it and nothing more.

According to WikiAnswers:

Under the dash on the left side of the steering column.

Or this......

Your turn signal flasher is under the dash. It is square plastic and looks like a relay. The flasher should have three pins that connect to either the fuse panel, or into its own receptacle mounted above the fuse panel somewhere. There are at least two types of flashers that look exactly the same but the pins are marked differently, so if you replace it with the wrong one the turn signals won't work. Another possibility is you could have a ground short in the wiring to that side. The only other possibility, other then demonic possession, is a problem in the turn signal switch itself. If everything else has been checked and repaired as needed, then it has to be the switch. To replace it you have to get the replacement part, steering wheel puller, and a lock plate remover. You have to take the steering wheel off to replace it.

PS. Your spell check seems to be in working order now....whew!.. :)

well if it is the switch it not that bad to take out already had it out when when i was chasing down the problem. its 300 buck though. anyway i had it totally discontented and still blew the fuse so i figured the switch was good but i guess one could Harv fucked up the other. I hope not that would take a lot of the budget for the toy.

I also wont all you guys to know ya ll have helped me alot on this sight. i have read though a lot of post just to learn and the search button has been my friend. even when its not direct at me i wont to thank all of ya ll for the info i have received from the site. red star is money well spent
