is it possible to install 4:1 gears ,then take the 2.69:1 gears and put them in the place of the 1:1 . i have never had one apart ?????

No. Each set of gears takes it's own intermediate gear.

I had a 400 that i put a transgo kit in and it would be in second and take off in second. It has been 10 years ago but i beleive I just used the extreme offroad kit. You could also be going 60mph and pull it down to first and it would go into first:smokin:

OP: No one has done what you wanting to do. Open up the case and see if you can figure it out. If you do, post up the tech write up.

Since the stock gears are two piece anyway... why not see if you can make something work?
