What set ups should I be looking into?
I plan on a 4-5in lift and some 38s.

What items/tools do I need? I know of the following
WOVEN tow straps
Winch(Should I go with hydraulic or electric?)
Good front bumper
Roll bar(bed mounted/4 lights up top)
Recovery points
Locking differential
4x4
Friends

well from the thread you posted already you should probably find yourself a truck, and decide what you want or need from there, i wouldn't worry about buying a lift kit then a truck.
