Sounds like the plastic clips that hold the lines in are damaged.

If the clips appear new, I would suspect a restriction in the cooler lines. They may be plugged or crimped.

the clips are good. it keeps going out where it bolts on. i put some lock tight on it last time and it just blew out aroung the seal.

I would pull the lines off and make sure they flow ok. Like Rockslut said, there might be something blocking the lines. They are super easy to pull off. Worst case go out and grab some new ones from a parts store. I had to buy a set, Dorman makes them. Might be an order item but if it fixes your problem it is worth the time.

I changed the lines on my 97 tj with a 999 from the factory crap to AN-6. The trans had 1/4 np threads so it was easy to switch. AN lines will not fail. May cost you a few $$ but well worth it in IMO

Brother had a blocked cooler once and the tranny overheated, melted the plastic clips and left him stranded. Those things suck.
