who has used the 1000lb. trailer spindle for a tire carrier hinge and mounted it with a double sheer setup. do they still fail? got any pics of how you mounted it? is there enough thread left on top to just weld a bracket from the bumper to the top of the spindle and use another nut on top of that to hold the upper portion of the spindle ? please dont reply to tell me those spindles are shit and they break. i know they can break if they are just welded to the bumper. i just want to know about using the same spindle with a bracket to mount it using a double shee setup. thanks
