i've got a springfield 1911.. i went out last night and put ~30 rounds through it and damn near every single one has a bent spent casing.
is that just from a really tight ejector spring and will loosen up or am i just paranoid that something is wrong?
im going to pick up all my brass so that i have shells to reload when i get into that as well

Send the bent ones to me and I'll reload them as if they were new cases.
Seriously man, it's a 20,000 PSI cartridge. You have nothing to worry about.

By bent you mean the case mouth is pushed in? A friend has one that does that. His is pretty new. I do not think he has more than 200rnds through it. Not sure what model# but it is it looks like the WWII repro in stainless.
I've been meaning to post about it. Looks like it will press out with the neck sizing but it makes me wonder if it

If they are bent as Johann mentioed the cases are just hitting the ejection port as they extract. Nothing to worry about.
You can lower and bevel the port as well as stone the ejector angle. My NIB Colt did that. Took about 30 minutes to fix. i would do the ejector angle at the range. I went a little too far the first time and the expanded rounds hit me square in the center of the forehead. Pretty funny actually.
