Shackle flips used in conjunction with the factory shackle usually net right at 4 inches.

Keep in mind that as you move the shackle mounting point you also move the location of the axle fore or aft in relation to the frame. I netted right at 2" of lift on the rear of my Dodge, but also moved the wheels forward over an inch.

oh, i guess if the axle goes forward a bit its ok for the drive shaft rather than moving the axle back so its about 2-4" thats cool then, i guess thats how i will lift the rear end then. is there any issues with hauling things in the bed? i usually move a ton of pellets every month or so.

Yes, you could have issues when you put stuff in the bed. My axle moved forward enough that the stock rear drive shaft was too long. The splined end of the shaft actually hit the front u-joint under any compression, even just driving around on the street. I recommend that you spend some time on ramchargercentral.com researching this or send me a PM before you proceed. The more research you can do before starting, the better off you will be.

Please dont tell me you shortened your driveshaft? :shaking:
A zero rate fixes that problem

Nope, it's the stock shaft. I ordered zero rates after I learned of their existence from the mighty Pirate. I wish that I would have done more research before doing my flip. That's why I suggested the original poster do so.

i bought a set of 3" coil spacers really cheap and was just thinking about ways to get the ass end up 3" cheaply and still get an inspection. my truck is a 94 2500 so it has the stock blocks in the back and was thinking about getting 3" blocks and welding them together but was also looking at other ideas like a shackle flip. any other suggestions?
