: Steering Box- Cast Steel or Iron???

I broke one of the Steering Box mounts on my swapped in IFS box over the weekend, while running 21 Road. Here's my question-

Are the IFS Toyota Steering boxes Cast Steel or Cast Iron. If its Steel, I may weld the mount up and keep it as a spare......OR, if its Cast Iron, well its junk.

So is it Steel or Iron?

Oh, and 21 Road is great fun!

did you sleeve the frame ?

Yeah, I used the All Pro Highsteer kit!? :confused: I think I am going to take the time to plate both sides, just to make sure everything is secure.

Looks like I'll be doing some welding on the box! Thanks for the info Jack!
