I have a Mitec Cut 40, very similar to the Parker and other chinese ones, my air solenoid does not activate. if i stick a voltage meter to the wires going to the air solenoid and activate the trigger, the volt meter goes nuts, no matter what setting it is on, the solenoid says 220Volt on it, along with a bunch of chinese writing so that is what I set the meter to, but it goes nuts, bouncing all over the place,so im wondering is it the solenoid or the circuit board? Nothing appears cooked on the circuit board that controls air flow
I know i can send the unit back to parker for $300 and have them fix it, but that would be lame, i can find a new one for that nowdays
I have done several searches but have not found any sites that help you fix it yourself. do you know of any?
has anyone else had this problem, how did you fix it

Hello,
It is most likely the solenoid. Take a picture and let us see it.

I doubt its the solenoid. Mine died as well. It has to do with the control board. I am the Fab moderator on www.homemadeturbo.com and one of our sponsors sells the chinese ones and showed the fix.

It is easy to check the coil on the solenoid with power off just check if the coil is open. If it is good then it is the board most likely

stuck open + no sparky......I got a new one instead from longevity.com

I think you're all not seeing it because you might have to be a member there to view attachments?
Anyway here it is again...........

Two pictures with random information does not explain where the problem resides and what the fix action requires. More information is needed to even make this thread plausable. I am having the same sort of issue and am unable to find the source of "no air". I am hanging the edge of spending a "G" on another plasma when this one is brand new and never used....... It sat in a box for almost three years due to my job having me over seas for most of that time.

I had an issue with my plasma air valve before . I had loaned it to a friend and he had jacked up the regulator pressure to compensate for the lack of air compared to the way I had it setup . When I got it back it wouldn't engage the torch via the trigger until I turned it down to the point where the valve was able to hold back the pressure enough . Not saying that is your issue , but I thought I was on my way to the repair shop till I screwed around with it a bit .
