I recently did an 8 lug conversion on my Dana 44. Using chevy parts. *1974 Chevy Chayane *sp?* super 20* Everything went smoothly except for one problem. I have no brake pressure up font for some reason. I bled the b'jezus out of the system, and fluid is squirting 5 feet away from the bleeder. I have brakes in the rear, so mutch so that the tires will lock up. No to bad, expect that all the weight is on the front of my rig. So it does me shit for good. I adjusted the plunger in the master cilander, but that didnt help at all.
With the engine off, pressure develops quickly. But once it starts, nothing.. THere is plenty of vacume on the line, and i put in a now booster. Im at a loss here fellas. Any info you can toss my way would be great :)

A stock master cylinder isn't going to cut it with 3/4 ton brakes!

Well, it depends on what that B2 came with. My Bronco has a 1" bore, and has no prob pushing the 3-5/8" Chevy pistons and 10.25 cylinders. There is probably more travel in the pedal than I'd like to have, but the brakes work.
Dumb question time: did you put the calipers on the correct sides? Bleeder screws need to be high in order to get all the air out of the calipers.

Oh dude, only an idiot would mount the bleeder screws down :flipoff2: That's even dumber than drilling a hole in your gas tank....oh wait, I did that.
Your Bronco should have 1 1/16" BTW
Oh crap, that just what i did. Not drilling a hole in the tank, but the upsidedown calipers. :cow: Dont know how i f'ed up like that. Oh well. The Master cil i have is from a 94 ford explorer. Better suited to the larger brakes :)

<shrug> What can I say? At least I'm not the only idiot around here.
I knew I was going to be wrong on the M/C bore dia...
Fixed the brakes today on my lunck break. *nice having a tool box bolted in the back of your rig* Once more, the truck stops on a nats ass. Thanks for the help fellas. My mind was racking over this for a few days.
