I'm cutting to fit my 38's on the 85 toy and was wondering how much of the fire wall to destroy. I already took a big hammer and moved it in about 2" on the passanger side but now my computer doesn't fit. Where is a good place to mount it? On the driver's side is 2" enough or should I bust out the torch and welder and tub it more?

If ya got travel...keep going.
Hope your front bumper is chopped too.
After that will be the battery tray area.

Do you guys running 38's believe it is absolutely necessary to do this?
I plan on going to 38's when I do the D44 SAS...I plan on using 44044's to move the axle forward 2" and will run the shackles under the frame.....looking at 38X14.50X15 on 15X10 rims with 3" BS.....
ANyone see any flaws in my gameplan?
I was planning 63" chevs with double shackles for the rear....

BTW, still and 89 runner with a 2" body lift....
Come awn, pro or con...bring it on.....

I had axle moved 1.5" forward, 3.75" bs 8.5" wheels and
AP spacers with fender hammered back....still rubbed.

Install of 36s on 10" wheels required trimming my front bumper
and cutting fender tubs all the way back to the body mounts.
Very slight fenderwell rub and hit battery tray on up travel.

in the rear ive got a three inch block and 1.5" shackles along with the chevyx and that probibly wont be enough for 38's unless you want to cut

(edit) probibly fit with the 2in body and some trimming

you will need the front axle at least 4 in foward and fire wall BANGED back to not rubb with 38's.
