a buddy of mine just found two brand new ac compressors in his shop (forgot he had them) so I'm looking for a tech article on how to make one into an air-compressor for my rig. where would i find this info? I remember an article in one of the magazines a while back, anyone remember where? also what about on the web
thaks
its no sweat. You just have to oil it each time you use it. Airtool oil.
You need a pancake and a 150 psi safety blowoff valve. and a variable pressure regulator.
12 volt switch belt/pully
I have a couple articles on it but not with me here. If you want email me what you want and I'll try to snail mail you a photocopy of same. It works great.

I'm not positive
I think they are off of a freighliner truck, but the only name I found was something like "air control" or "climate control inc"?!

That would be Climate Control Inc. It is the new name for the people who build York compressors. These are desirable for use as an air compressor as they have an oil sump and you don't have to oil them each time. http://www.ccicompressor.com/SrvcManl.htm
