My 2f likes to die on off camber situations and Im getting sick of it. Im not really interested in the downey kit but ill keep it in mind. What are some other options I have for better fuel delivery to my engine? (Im not interested in an engine swap but if I cant find a good solution im goin 350 TBI)

you can get a Holley FI kit for cheap. It is 725, i think from JEGS. Part # 501-12. It is a 300cfm single barrel kit for a CJ-7. With a few easy mods, it can be used on a 2F. I like the kit so far. Lemme know if you have any specific ??'s

I think Spaceghost has perfected the 2F EFI....you need to talk to him before you get a holly kit.

I am your worst nightmare!

I am running a tbi from a 4.3 chevy. Get the stuff from a junkyard, buy or make an adapter, and find a chip. Runs as long as gas is getting to the fuel pump! Be prepared to flop, YOU will go where you have never been before! I can hook you up with an adapter.

If you are not interested in building from scratch (junkyard techno) call Howell-EFI for a bolt on kit without the adapter. About $1100, but very reliable, complete, good program (chip calibrations) and backed by their experience.

Projection is an option.

You dont have to spend $1100 on EFI either.

Here is kind of a cost break down (mostly junk yard parts)
These a prices around INDY

TBI and Harness ~ $100
Adaptor from Spaceghost $100
ECM ~$25-45
Fuel pump (new) ~$80
O2 sensor (new) ~$50-80
Assorted shit ~$60 (a guess)

Total $465
This is assuming you get the MAP and temp sensors with the harness. This requires some work to mod the wiring harness, but I did mine mostly in a afternoon. Of course I may be talking out of my ass since I dont have anything running yet:p

But in my defense I am doing this on a total frame off on a rebuilt motor. I hope to have it running soon. Woody site has a couple of great links on DYI EFI.

RIcko.

U got mail. I have the adapters only, with hardware to mount and a gasket. You have to collect everything else, either from a donor vehicle or Howell-EFI, depending on how much you can do or want to spend.

i made some mods the the stock carb, so far i havent had it die, well when i flopped on my side it did, but it has run well at the angles i can drive so far.
i am however going to be running TBI when i get $$ for the spendier parts (adaptor and chip), thats all i'm missing and so far have $85 into it.

i've read some articles about tbi coversion
and havnt seen anyone talk about A/C option
maybe u guys know how to make that work with A/C
im talking about about fj60 1986

if im not misstaken the A/C module hold rpm at around 1200-1400 rpm to activate the compressor

any advise for that?

i havent started the conversion yet but getting parts already
