Who's going? I'll be there picking up Turds once again. :D

I'm there! Anyone caught littering on a trail should be forced to attend the cleanup just like those community service fawkers on the side of the freeways. They can pick up the toilet paper and underwear that seem to find their way out there. BTW Just an idea but this should be a family thing if you got them, teach the little guys young. Plus my kids got more energy than I do.

Since my wife (MARNIXJ) won your winch last year we are fer sure going again this year because I want a winch on the rear:flipoff2: ;)

Seriously, mike, thanks for ponying up the winch.

On a side note:

Is anyone going to be cleaning from the Springs side inward? I know at least the Buck Island camp area will need some attention and I am not sure how the erosion control stuff organized by FOTR is holding up. I would be up for coming in backwards and cleaning as we go, but I don't want to miss the party on Sat night at the Box. Plus I want my raffle tix!!!!!!

We will have a fairly large group working from Rubicon Springs to Spider Lake this year (look for it on the sign up sheet).

We will need several trailers in each group this year for trash bags and such, so if you can bring one, please bring it empty.

Will you be able to pull yourself away from the CAMP FIRE to talk on the CB?

We are having a special meeting tonight just for the cleanup. We'll be hammering allot of the details out and getting organized. There will be a page created and posted next week that will have a signup roster and all of the information needed. Please be patient and we'll feed everyone the information soon.

Thanks All,

Tarzan

How about stringing some cable between trees at the popular Spider Lake camp spots for easier bear bagging. Probably need to get permission from somebody to do that but it would be pretty cool. You see cables run like that at a lot of backpacking campsights, and they sure make it easy especially if you are trying to bear bag a couple ice chests.

Thanks,

Kevin- You might want to consider using the FOTR Volunteer form to report the number of hours worked after the clean up.

Here's a link http://californiajeeper.com/volunteer-rubicon-work-form.htm

Just get it to Del and he'll log the hours. We need to show just how many hours we put in to maintain our trail;)

Thanks again for your efforts!

Whats up Turd Patrolees! Thanks for posting this info Disco. Heres whats going to happen everyone, and if you dont understand give me a call at home during the evening and I can break it down for ya.

I will be going in to Spider the 18th in the evening. Saturday morning (7:00am to 8:00am) Maniac and I will be having a Cleanup sign-in at Spider Lake this will be Disco's crew and at least 10 others to assist in picking up Turds in that area. Disco will also be incharge of the Spider Shitter relocation and beautifcation :*) For those going to Spider I will be above the Lil Sluice in POR camp at the sign-in table. Make sure you see me 1st thing in the morning for bags and gloves. Please dont forget to sigh-in you'll miss out on the raffle ticket and you must sign-in to get one. ( Actully after bring back your trash or turds we'll give you your ticket.) If your in Turd Patrol at Spider listen to Disco hes a Veteren and is taken orders from the Turd Commander.....Thats me fawkers!

There will be another sign in on Saturday morning at Loon Lake in the regular spot below the Dam (Parking Area). Jeff Fretwell and Tim Downs will be conducting that sign-in. For the Turd duties from Loon to Spider the lead person is Paul Nasvik. He will need at least 5 people to assist in the rebuild of the Ellis Ckeek shitter. All others need to pick up turds and trash all the way to Spider Lake. If your picking up Turds at Ellis or continuing to Spider and picking up turds listen to Paul Nasvik he too is a major cleanup veteren and represents P.O.R. so be nice.

Remember everyone just because you have the Turd Patrol duties dosnt mean you are excluded from picking up trail trash......we are picking up EVERYTHING considered garbage. Both sign-ins should be completed no later than 9:00am so we can get in a full work day!

We really have some awesome raffle items this year so be perpared.............this is just a short list of em

CTM
Shaffers Offroad
Bent & Twisted
Central 4WD
Centerfolds........................
J.E. Reel Driveline
High Angle Driveline

and so on..................

There will be an information page posted by Lance before the end of the week.

In closing Disco and Nasvik please give me a call this week during the evening at home for some details. Thanks everyone and see you at the Cleanup.

Hi me and my husband would love to attend your(our) turd fest and are prepared as a newbie's to do so. But need to know some info. camping cabover towing the Bronco were would we be best served and not miss all the Dammmm Party, also we are very good at making very interesting turd houses would love to donate a out house to place, but we must get rid of the kids for the weekend as for it was a pain at Calroc's, mommy I'm hungry, got to go to the bathroom, and I thought my billy goat horns hit my devil horns but before I left the hotel I hit them in pretty good. So any information would be appreciated I love to wheel & party but will bent over for a turd......:D

OOPPSS just been reminded of a prior comitment on Sat. Sun. I'm trying to get out of it because its with the inlaws. I want to go turd hunting instead.

ok, I threw up a simple sign up sheet - it is nothing much but it will do the job.

Use the script linked below to either add yourself or if you are kickin in for the raffle we can keep track of that there too. All I did was sorta modify a simple link script and I didn't take the time to add categories for what you want to do etc. so please try to include it all in the info section!

I'm not a Pirate but I can answer that question for you. This is the weekend that all the bypasses are repaired, reinforced or new one built. So, yes, a chainsaw, rock bars and what-ever else you can bring would be great. Also, if you have room for trash please bring out as much as you can. Thanks.

What about Buck Island? I have heard no talk about cleaning that area. I was out at Bucks 3 weeks ago and in the trees above the damn it looked like a public toilet. That area will need some work as well. Are we going to send a group out that way?

I also signed up for bypass repair and work. I was going to also bring a chainsaw and tools. Where would it be better for me to be on Saturday morning, Spill Way or Spider? I was planning on being at Spider but if my tools will be better used on the trail in I can be at the Spill Way?

Well it looks as though I'll be hoofing in.

If I'm going to be sticking around Loon for trash/bypass duty and sign up, do I need to be present at Spider for the raffle? Not like I'll win anynthing but it *could* happen.

I plan on working all day Saturday then heading back home Sat. night.

If anyone cares I'll be the guy bundled up in duck coveralls and a beanie as I got no blood to keep me warm.
