That quote is from Cool Cruisers of Texas... I was a little frustrated last night, and didn't know whether I should hassle them about it, or just complain about it. So I complained last night, and am going to hassle them today. :D

Add another unhappy customer to the list.
I ordered some tail light guards from CCOT. They didn't fit at all. After 3 e-mails back and forth they admitted that it was their fault. The problem was that the weld beads were too thick in some spots.
Their advice was to grind the weld or drill the mounting holes bigger. These things are brand new powdercoated pieces. I'm not going to grind them to make them fit. Instead I asked for a full refund. They refunded me the $ minus the $10 that shipping cost me. I'm still dealing with them on this.

Zipp,

Are you just pissed off that they didn't have the product in stock??????? Did they first promise that the product was in stock and would ship out the same day??????

If it was just out of stock, have a few:beer: and :smokin: and chill out!!!

If you were lied to then that is another story..........

Signed,

A happy CCOT customer

I placed two orders with CCOT (First orders ever with them) a month before Moab, one on line and the other over the phone. BOTH orders never showed up, since I was busy with pulling the 305 and putting in the 383 I did not call until one week before leaving. “oh well we have the ball joints in stock but they don’t have boot’s, we are expecting a container any day now”, ok what about the bikini top? “That’s on back order and we should have gotten that in last week, but really any day now.”

Why would you take an order and not inform the customer the parts where on back order??? I understand you can’t stock 1000 of everything, but come on have the balls to tell the customer up front. If anything send out a cheep post card saying they are not in but will be on X date. I cancelled both orders called up $pecter and ordered all the parts I needed. They were all in stock so I got them in two days. With $pecter you may pay more but at least you don’t get left out in the wind.

I’m done with CCOT on the first two attempts.

Hey Jeeps, thats why I always use a credit card- if the parts aren't right, damaged, mis-boxed, there is no arguement on my side. I call Visa, tell them the story and that I am not paying them for the parts, and let Visa and CCoT work it out. I have been on both sides of retail and believe me, the credit card company has always sided with "their" customer and screws the retailer. I presonally have not had a bad experience with them. Some of the stuff I ordered was on inferior construction, but that what I get to try to save money. I do think is BS that they did not tell the guy the parts were out of stock- that poor management!

Hey Brandon,
I feel your pain man!

But Max,
SOR, hehehehe the only place I haven't gotten a lame ass excuse from is SOR. At their prices they CAN actually afford to stock product!

I'd be outta business if I told my customers "The beer truck is on the way, I promise" six days in a row.
