Getting ready to put in my 8.8 and was wondering if those MORE anti-wrap perches are worth it in terms of preventing axle wrap? Would I just be better off saving $25 and buying perches locally and building my own anti-wrap bar?

the anti-wrap is just a gimick, i have RE's 2.5 anti-wrap perches and my axle is far from anti wrap with only a fourbanger

The anti-wrap perches are good strong perches. I had a set on my jeep before I went to 60's. They did not do a thing for antiwrap, but they were stout perches

Just buy or make regular perches and build the antiwrap bar.
The perches will help but the wont eliminate the antiwrap.
And before you ask what kind of bar, Do a search theres a standard type almost every one uses.

Good just reaffirming what I was already thinking. I live in the middle of farmland so I'll just use those tractor endlinks they sell and build one up from there like Billavista did. Like those homemade mods!

I have RE perches with a four banger and mine wrapped so bad last Sunday the ujoint bound.Luckily it didnt break it but you definitely need to make a bar.

Every thing wraps its just a matter of when if your not running an anti wrap bar.
