Anyone using the 7/8"s or 1" Howe Master Cylinders that Summit Racing sells??
Fairly cheap with a fairly large bore and best of all no power assist.
Anyone have first hand experience with em?

I've wondered about this too. A properly setup brake system needs no power assist. Sounds like a good way to get rid of some junk..
Anybody?

My Vette Master was only 65 bucks.
1 1/8 bore, 4 wheel manual or power disc.
Will bolt directly up to where a jeep one would.

There are cheaper alternatives with a larger bore than the $55 summit wants. My E350 master has 1 1/8" bore and was $15 with $5 core.

Hmmmm...bigger bore if your calipers need 'em, but that steals your mechanical advantage.
Sounds like opposite way to go if you wanna drop vacuum boost.

I don't have vaccum boost currently. And no way in hell do I want it. haha
I figure I will try this bad boy out and see how it works.
I didn't know the other day before I posted, but my buddy has been running this master cylinder for 3 years now, with no vaccum boost. And it works great. Can and will lock up the 36 inch SX's no problem. And if the motor dies (Which it never does in Marcels rig) there is no change in braking. :D Perfect.
I will have my own $.02 in a couple weeks.
