Because you mothfuckles have turned me into an addict.

Yes, This means you.
Especially USMCBastard14 and Alohafucker and your custom scratch-built IWBs and your evil black rifles.
Oh, and you, Mr. Keith Strong and your hatred for All things Kimber.
And god forbid I go and fire off a Glock and a 1911 in the same sitting.
And fawkity Fawk...TNToy and his damn IDPA Competition shooting all realistic situation and shit.

Do you realize I have been reading about GUNS on a 4x4 board for the last 4 hours and haven't even stepped FOOT in a tech section or in Chit Chat

Now i knew why my grandpa had over 500 guns in his collection (that I knew of)...

Damn, this is about to become an expensive hobby.

Oh...

stick to buying for a while. If you think that's addicting, just wait till you do your first build... :D

which is why he'll get into reloading really fast. My reloading equipment I bought used has paid for itself. I reloaded over 500 rounds of 45 acp over the weekend for less than $120

My wife is freaking out. "Is this going to be just like the damn Jeep was?" Not really. She cooled out when I explained owning and shooting doesn't break $1000 transfer cases every weekend and unlike rigs, they actually can appreciate in value. :D

What equipment are you using?
The only Dillon I see that will do .45ACP is the XL650?

p.s. That looks like about half price for what i paid at wallyworld for. .45acp the other day.

I was just thinking about maiking a similar post yesterday as continued to watch my collection grow, but did not want to admit I had a problem.

Hello, my name is YellowIH and I have not bought a gun in....of fawk it....I just did on the way over here.... bwwaahhhahahahahahhahahaha!!!!! and a tin of AMMO TOO!

Seriously....I haven't been in chit chat to even lurk, nor the IH section to post much in forever.....I may just make this forum my homepage since its all I look at.....

And building is more addictive....I did a little AK furniture swappie-swap and now an AR .308 is coming......

Thanks for feeding my obsessive complusive type A personality......

All of the Dillon presses will make .45 ACP. I've made something like 4,000 rounds on my XL550.

this website has a 4x4 section? The gun itch is terrible. I have been collecting, shooting and building guns for most of my life. it has left me penniless and slightly deaf. every time i see a gun for sale i get a trembly and wonder how much i can sell a kidney for to be able to buy it.

Chister, awesome post. Simply awesome.

And yes, this hobby is much cheaper than wheeling. My rig hasn't moved in over 2 years, and I doubt I'd recognize any of the usernames in the Toy forum anymore.

Even my competition addiction, which frequently involves driving four hours, staying in a hotel, paying $75+ for the match fee, and burning $50 worth of ammo... Is still dramatically cheaper than wheeling. Nothing breaks, and I'm not gettting 2.2MPG cruising around in the woods the entire weekend at 200:1.

Oh, and I bought a Dillon 650 yesterday. :flipoff2:

Unless you start burning through 1,500 rounds of one caliber each month like I do, an RCBS rock chucker or any single-stage press will be just fine. I wanted to be able to load over 500 rounds an hour (my objective is to load for one night per month and have enough for practice and all my matches) you don't really need a progressive.

Well, My MIL owns a .380
My wife loves her pistol, so will probably buy the exact same gun for her CHL.
so I will probably be loading a lot if it helps us save on range loads.
My wife is VERY competitive and was once offered to be on the College Shooting team... so chances are, I'll be buying a LOT of rounds so she can practice until she can send 50 rds through a 1" hole.

I went by a gun store the other day to get mags for my G19. He only had 3 15rd mags in, which I bought. He had a 10 rd mag too. I blankly stared at it and went "why?". He said "in case you go to California". I went "and?" Don't see a reason to pay the same $$ for a lower capacity mag.

well, the pirce to manufacture it actually probably cost exactly the same. Its probably pretty much the same mag with just a longer follower.

There was a gun show this weekend and I was out looking for some shotgun bandoleers so I can be like that tacti-cool shotgun guy and wound up walking out with a new 22/45.

I then promply screwed up a magazine follower trying to up the capacity. I think 12 is the limit to stay at:laughing:

I wish. You can't convert a Glock single-stack mag into a double. The metal body of the magazine is bent inward down both sides in order to make it single-stack. If you ground it flat, you'd grind clean through it. The follower is specific to the single-stackers too, obviously, since they're narrower inside.

Since 15-rounders for the G19 are all of $16.99 at OMB Express, there's not much reason to go carving up a functioning magazine, either.

Oh, and 10-round Glock mags are actually LESS reliable than the standard-cap ones.
