LONG ARMS are your friend. Since you already cut everything off and have rewelded mounts how come you havent brought the mounts back? You are basicly running the stock mount location from what I can see.

My arms are just under 40" long.

Torch, grinder and welder = move the mounts back. :flipoff2:

That's only a few inches longer than stock.

The length isn't inherently a problem, as long as they're flat. And getting them flat with a substantial amount of lift, while avoiding rock magnet mounting points, is typically where the problem comes from.

In either case, I think the DOM piece is too short.

The material you are using looks weak too.

I am running 2" dom .250 wall.

My lowers are about 20.75" long and my upper is about 23.5" long...

Im only at like 5" of lift...

though I moved the frame side mount back and down like 4" back from stock, and down like 2" from stock...
and I raised the axle mount quite a bit from stock, so at ride height, my arms are slightly angled down to the axle, but not an extreme angle...

my upper arm is FLAT at ride height...

but I'm only running 35's, and 4.5 - 5" of lift...

It looks like you need to pull that frame side mount back and down, and raise the axle end mount just a touch (like 1/2") and you'd be fine...

don't worry too much about having the mount hang below the frame, I can count on one hand the number of times ive been hung on my LCA mounts - and with your bigger tires, that would be almost none...

Yea Id try and shoot for a longer length. Seeings how you already cut off the old mount and only tacked the new tabs Id go ahead and make em longer if I were you. PLate wherever you move em though.

Also, What size tube did you choose? Looks like 1/8 maybe? The joint stud looks almost the same OD as your tube. If you choose longer that definatly has to change. Even if not Id go thicker. 40's, a 60 and some hard wheeling will destroy anything under 1/4" . 1/4" not being so great either.

fuk yes!!! budget builds:shaking: gotta watch every penny:D

I guess I should elaborate ...the material is 1.5" .120 wall HREW

its for mock up guys .............dang you guys are vicious:flipoff2:

anyway making a 3 link ..ie goin through the floorboard ect here are some pics of what I doing,, and yea they were a bit on the short side so I adjusted some stuff and came up with 23" for the lowers and the upper arm will be 26"

axle mount will be about 7-8" of axle separation (not sure yet) and about 5-7 .separation
adjustable mounts
at the "frame" side
