Is the ball joint connecting the drag link to the steering knuckle LH or RH thread, I can't remember.

The ball joint on the axle/wheel end is Right hand, the other side at the pitman arm is left hand but the ball joint is integral to the pitman arm.

Depends on age and or model of truck as to whether the ball joint is captive on the drop arm. Defenders definitely have the captive ball joint. Discos and most Rangies have the ball joint screwed into the rods.

The front rod (cross tube in some LR documents) have one right-hand and one left-hand thread ball joint. The rear rod (track rod in some LR documents) are both right hand thread if the vehicle is not fitted with front mounted stabilizer from the factory. If the front rod has the stabilizer mounted to it from the factory (and therefor has a captive ball joint in the drop arm), they will be left and right-hand thread in the rear rod.
