: 90k 3.4l maintenance schedule
Booger Weldz 10-11-2008, 11:44 AM what are you guys paying for this service(it includes the timing belt)..i think my 60k was $379.95 at the dealer...i am forced to do this to maintain my extended warranty to 100k...LOL, i wonder if i drove my truck in to the dealer with an issue if it would be warrantied(the engine and transmision are TOTALLY stock with the exception of a york and PSC steering pump)??
rockota 10-11-2008, 02:02 PM Please bring video camera to get the service writer's and tech's reactions.. :D

LOL! im at 83k and counting..i paid $1600 for the extended warranty(7year/100k), so they better honor it! my driver side window is slipping out of the regulator and needs to be repaired so i dont have to 'assist' it when rolling it up... the cruise control took a poop just before i started cutting on the truck
aftershokk86 10-11-2008, 02:49 PM they better warranty your truck, just beacuse its so kick ass:D
they should be honored you chose to build a toyota and not something else :smokin:

thanks dude! i wish you worked at my local toyota dealer :D
ErikB 10-11-2008, 06:42 PM I guess you'd have to list what all they need to do? Change timing belt and a bunch of fluids? Bearings (stock) aren't serviceable, so I don't know what else they'd do.
Seems like I see coupons from my dealer for $250 V6 timing belt changes. Maybe its gone up a bit though.
Doesn't seem like they should have a problem working on the unmodified parts of your truck. The techs will probably think its cool. :D
hellbent 10-11-2008, 09:40 PM You modified the oil pan and oil pick up. :flipoff2:

When I was wrenching at the local Lexus dealer our 30/60/90K services were cheaper than the Toyota services and included much more. We replaced the engine oil, flushed the transmission, replaced all gear oil, flushed brake fluid, replaced all filters, and replaced wiper inserts. Timing belts were not part of that service.
Toy time 10-21-2008, 07:49 AM just bring it up to sac/folsom lake toyota and i'll do the service for cheaper do only the stuff you need and it will still be on record that you had your service done:grinpimp: basicly your getting a trans flush t-belt drive belts diff fluid and you prb dont need that an oil change and maybe a coolant flush plus i'd love to see this thing up close and on a lift,, up to you:confused::confused::D
4Runner202020 10-21-2008, 08:04 AM they are/would be still getting you money for it so i dont see why they wouldn't.

damn, all of that has been done as part of my 'build' with the exception of the tranny fluid...i should probably pop the airbox and check out the air filter though...if timing belts arent done im not interested in paying for the service though...thats kinda retarded...
mkmarz 10-21-2008, 07:15 PM they ussually arent done. Every dealer has their own prices and services. They should be doing whats in the owners manual but they ussually dont.
Timing belts are ussually seperate. If you do bring it in I want pictures. I'd pay for your new red star if you get video reactions. I could see the whole shop laugh at the tech that gets to pull the thing in.

yea at least thats what the say i am:flipoff2:
90k service for your tacoma is oil change, tire rotation, manual trans drain and refill same with diffs, transfer inspect, maybe a coolant flush, spark plugs at our shop i believe are recomended but not included in the service...more money to get out of you for somthing that should be included, some bullshit oil additive and some fuel additive, wiper inserts oh and the big one:eek:we lube the door hinges locks and latches:eek:
no timing belt though and i believe you get a t-belt 90k its like a grand if you could swing it up here i could do it for a couple hundred plus parts wich are pretty cheap, and i could get my writer to write it in the history that it was done here its, all up to you
and actualy i'd like to replace the water pump while i was in there they all start to leak at 90k
Booger Weldz 10-23-2008, 06:12 PM yeah, i just want teh timing belt and water pump done...its worth more to me to go to work and earn some overtime than to wrench on it at this point...ive been working on this fawker for 8 months straight..........not interested in pulling the front of the motor off...thats selective laziness:D
