Im picking up a D60 rc from a 97 f350 next Monday...

Anyone here swapped a leaf sprung d60 of this year into a Bronco?

I heard they are offset enough to clear the center support without notching. True?

What about steering, what did you use?

Im probly going to get 8" springs and Make a Reverse Shackle Bracket.......

Finally after many years of wanting one, Its going to happen :)\

'97 will be ball joints but take what you can get....

I did it on my '90 with an '87 D60 front. My frame will be the same as yours for all intents and purposes (you might have some extra holes drilled in the rear framerails from the factory if you really wanna get technical :flipoff2:) Spring pad spacing from '87 to '97 should be the same....

Check your pm's.

True.

Stock F350. The steering boxes are in the same locations so it's stupid easy to bolt up the steering. A trick setup w/rod ends would be nice but this works great for now.

I'd expect 14" or so lift that way. I did the reverse shackle and with this the swap alone nets approx 6" lift over stock TTB. I'm running flat leafs from an '86 F350 with one leaf swapped out - IOW, the springs have no arch and provide no lift and I still got 6" from the swap.

Of course since you're running lots of cubes and a lead foot you may want a stiffer spring pack to combat axle wrap (not that I've noticed any but I'm pretty light on the stupid pedal).

Good luck! It'll be sweet.
