: my new starter rig

Hey guys figured id throw pictures of my new starter rig, 86 k 10 new trans, new 355 chevy, 4/10s front and rear. 4inchs of lift (i think) sky jacker double shock set up. besides more aggressive tires what should i be looking at doing for a good off road/street truck i hav ea 2800 acre farm with some real steep trailes w/ clay and mud.

ive read that 8.5s with front lockers can be a helluva hand full for an unexperience wheeler, i think i;ll wheel with open front diff so i can learn to use the truck and pick the right line first. It has a posi of some sort in the rear, probably a gov, but i havent taken the cover off to look yet. I have a 30 spline detroit locker from the 8.5 rear in my old g-body monte carlo that i mite put in.

there you go,not to get off track but was the monte carlo supercharged(stock)

no monte carlos in the 80s wernt supercharged. mine was an 88 ls not the SS. had a 14.5:1 compression 406 chevy small block. car went 9.80s on nuts and 8.50s on both kits.
