Not much tech on here lately, so i thought i would ask.
With all of the new upgrades for toy axles, im wondering if running 39s and bigger is a reality for toy axles.
Seen pics of Bad karma running 39s. Is he breaking R&Ps or anything else?

Love it, wouldnt run anything else. Now back on topic.
i still think even with my all-pro cro-mo axles and long fields that 38's are the max
39.5 Boggers are sooo much heavier than 38.5 SX's. I think they would be a bit much, but 39.5 TSL's may be a little closer to being realistic. I am giving A LOT of thought to a set of 39.5x15x15 TSLs, I think that I will just have to adjust my driving style a little to compensate.

Go to rockwells if your worried about them. Even 60's were designed for only 32" tall tires:D

Well, Ive been running 39.5 for about a year now. Popped a r&p, but the ring was not centered on the spool. Richmond has too big of a chamfer on the backside, for the small area on the spool. So I dont consider that due to tires. I am also still running birfields. 2 down. I am planning on 42/15/15 next. ARB makes the biggest difference, and being in 2 wheel drive as much as possible. And I also run the "weak" 4cyl diffs. Go for it!

39.5's are badass. The ground clearance is great, I run mine @ 10psi because there is an awful lot of sidewall, but overall I couldn't be happier with them. As for breakage, I'm running Super Birfs and stock inners with no problems, but I'm also only geared to 83:1 (but a dual case is in the very near future).
Bottom line: Run 'em. You won't be sorry.
