: Location of Coolant Temp Sensor - 22r

Anyone know where exactly this sensor is located?
The FSM describes how to check it but I need to find it first.

There are two. The one one that runs the guage is on top of the intake manafold near the #3 runner. There is a second one on to of the thermostat on some models. My 87 motor has both.

Yeah, I'm looking for the one that runs the guage.
Is it one of the ones that I've marked 'L' or 'R'?

The one that runs the gauge has a spade type connector on top. The other one has a fitted plastic connector.

I think on my 82, the blade type connecter plugs into the sender that is placed horizontally into the intake manifold in front of the thermostat housing.

And yes, if that wire is not plugged in, your gauge probably is not working up to its potential.

Found where that wire connects to.
