is there any way to make a 600v 3 phase motor work at 220v 3 phase?

A transformer does this task nicely. Can the voltage on the motor be switched

If you don't even know what a transformer is, then my advise would be to consult a licensed electrician. You clearly have no idea what you are dealing with, and an electrician's bill will be much better than being dead.
I could be mistaken, but at least in the US, I do not believe there is such a thing as 600v 3~. If you're Canadian, well, that is a different story, I believe there is 600v there. I am also fairly sure there is no such thing as 220 3~ in the US as well. There is 208, 230, and 460 3~. If you are talking about ordinary residential power, then that is not 3~ at all but 1~ and things get a bit more complex. Consult an electrician.
Good luck,

Is your point that he is asking if anyone here needs a picture?
Maybe so, but I still say call an electrician. It is not clear, and it is quite easy to end up dead if you don't know what you are working with. It isn't worth the risk.

Pretty sure he has no idea if the voltage on the motor can be changed. If it is indeed a 600V motor (I think 575V is a standard one for motors) then I doubt it has windings which can be run on 208-230V. Most dual voltage motors are 230-460 or maybe 460-575?, propbably not one which has dual windings and jumps the 460V setting.
In short, the motor probably cannot be run directly on 230V and a transformer would probably be near the cost of a new motor. A picture and specs on the motor nameplate would definately make your choices more clear.

yes i know what a transformer is, i never asked what a transformer was to begin with.
yes i am from canada and we do have 600v here and i am also aware that the u.s. doesnt and that 3 phase is not available in residential. im not a total idiot.
ok the story goes like this, i am a cabinetmaker, i was offered a power feeder for free. i hadnt seen it yet when i posted this thread and all i knew was it was a 600v 3 phase motor.
yes i am aware some motors can be rewired to operate at different voltages. my reasoning for asking this question is because i will be moving to minnesota in the spring and i want to know if im able to run this thing when i set up shop.
