I've got a line on a C6/NP205 from a '78 F250 that had a 400 in it. My question is will this bolt up to a 460, or if not, what do I need to make it happen? Also, is there anything else I should look into, or problems I'm not considering?

Being from Louisiana, I can find boneyard 3/4 and 1 ton 2WD service trucks with 460s all day long, but I can't find a t-case to save my life. The plan is to pull an EFI 460 out of a newer truck or van and run that, but a carb will work too.

I just want to make sure I don't buy this trans/t-case and get stuck with something I can't use.

Thanks in advance for the help.

yep the 351M/400 use the same bellhousing as the 429/460. You will need a new flexplate though.

I'll second the "Yep" . Starter and distributor will interchange from the 400 to the 460 also.
