I searched, and somebody said the C6 would bolt to a chevy 205, how about the AOD?

somebody was wrong....different spines and different moutning patter.

Chevy used the funky texas shaped pattern on it's t-cases, and a a bunch of different spline counts, none of which match the 31 spline Ford used or the 6 bolt round pattern on the t-case.

Input I can change. As far as chevys go, I thought all the later models use round BP, earlier use the oval racetrack, right?

Why not just use the 700R4 it's way stronger than the AOD has a much lower 1st gear, I know several Early Bronco owners swapping them in instead of the Ford AOD, and you don't need an adapter to bolt it up to a Chevy motor because it is a Chevy product, at least I think you don't.
I run an AOD and love it especialy now it's bolted up to an Atlas.

I have a 5.0/AOD, and I want to put a pass side front end in mine, with a Chevy 205. A 700r4 would be great if I had/wanted a chevy motor...

So you are putting the AOD down, or "love it especialy now it's bolted up to an Atlas"?

Basically, I just need to know if the chevy 6 bolt round pattern can work with the ford 6 bolt round.....
Anybody know?

No I'm not putting it down, just if I had to do it from scratch again I would go with the 700r4, and yes I love it now that its bolted to the Atlas. But in the back of my little mind I still keep thinking about that 1st gear in the 700r4.
