Not really a frame modification, more of a total tube chassis replacement for my 53 CJ3a. Hope to have it street legal one day.

I cut the front and rear off of my frame. What are you wanting to see. I went back with square tube. Here is where the front was cut off.
The firewall is above this cut.

Back half cut off.

Put a cross member in there to narrow the rear (the crossmember will come out but it gave me something straight to work off of.)

Notice the exposed end of the original frame rail.

Cut some small 45's to triangulate the new frame into it.

((((((You could use this same crossmember with the triangulation to widen your stock frame is the reason for me shareing this.)))))))

I will be pulling the tub for paint and at that point I will flip the frame and plate the top and bottom.

I like this a lot when compared to compound cuts. Cutting a 45* on a 30* does not sound like fun right now...

Hope that helps. Most of it is 2x4, the front is 2x3.

bbaXJ , nice looking frame!
Geesh made one for his CJ5 project that turned out pretty nice. Here is part of his build thread HERE (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=295400&highlight=cj5+geesh&page=4)

How is your tub handing that large (looks to be 8") rise in the rear of the frame? I think I have a 5.5" rise in mine which is what matches the tub.
I have seen a lot of bad things happen with front shackles that low, get caught on stuff backing down an obstacle.
I did my flattie frame originally for 48" long springs with offset pins and still couldn't stand the overhangs, redid it for f/r links.
Don't know that I have any good pics, mine isn't still finished. still have to finish weld and fishplate everything.
