Where are you getting your nut and bolt supply from, cost? Do they restock for you, provide a bolt bin for them, what sizes do you use the most of?

Do they have a fastenal where you are? I have a bolt bin from them. 72 holes, got it the other day for 120, she said it retails for 180. For around 300 bucks they have a grade 5 assortment which is a little over 3,000 pieces, which I want to get soon. If no fastenal, tractor supply has the best prices I have found on bolts, sold by the pound. I use mainly 1/4 20 stuff and some 3/8 and 1/2 as well. If the fastenal is close I believe they will come stock it for you and keep up with it but I am not 100% on that.

We have done this discussion probably hundreds of times now, but check out any industrial fastner suppliers. Fastenal seems to be everywhere, but IMO they typically don't have a ton of stock on hand, and their prices, while better than a hardware store, are still quite high.

There is a industrial fastener supplier near me, named prime fastener, part of the ABC fastner group. I have no idea how widespread they are, but I am sure there is something similar in most corners of the industrialized US. Prime fastner has about a 100,000 sq. ft. warehouse here, and a bigger place in a near by city. They are alway happy to deal with the little customers, have excellent prices, and are typically my first stop for any fastener. They have nearly anything you can imagine on hand. I have only stumped them one or two times in the 12 years I have shopped there.

Every place is different, but if you are high enough volume, prime will deliver, and keep your bins stocked.

Are you sure about that Jason? I can't seem to remember ever having even thought of where I should go to get my bolt bins restocked, I thought Welsh midgets did it for me!:flipoff2:

I was referring to the first half of the posters question, where and how much. The only reason I answered at all was because the "who will restock" part was a bit of a variation on the recurring theme.
