Just picked up a 84 k10 shortbed to fix up, i got to looking and noticed that it has two front shocks per side. both brackets look factory (factory rivits mounting them to the frame). Ive never seen this on a half ton. ive had two 84's prior to this and all had a single shock. Any ideas on why this is on there? i searched and cant seem to find any answers.

Dual shocks = quad shock option. Could be ordered stand alone or combined with other pkgs.

Guys I walked outside today and looked up. I was absolutely flabbergasted by the brightness bestowed upon my delicate eyes. For the life of me I checked all throughout the house but all the switches were off. I seek all of your worldly knowledge. Wtf is that bright thing up there in the sky?

so what package would that be? Just a towing package? Its a custom Deluxe if that helps. Truck also has dual tanks.

Look in the glove box for the option codes sticker. Each 3 digit code is called an "RPO" code, search Google for "RPO codes" and you'll find everything you need to decode what options/pkgs are on your truck.

that would be nice if the sticker was there, i tried to do it be the vin but that doesn't help.

the vin wont tell you much more than lwb/swb, 2wd/4wd, straight/v6/v8.
