I picked up this rifle and its in peices there are two springs that I dont know where they go. Anyone have a schematic on the reasembly. This is what is stamped on the sides:

"J.STEVENS A&T.CO."
"CHICOPEE FALLS,MASS.U.S.A.PAT,APR,17,94."
then on the other side
"22-LONG RIFLE"

I'm not much help, but I just got ahold of my grandpa's first rifle, which is a J Stevens "Little Scout 14-1/2". If you find any resources for the early J Stevens stuff, let me know..

Sounds like a Stevens Favorite.
They came in a lot of different variations, so you'll have to look at the different schematics and pick the one that fits best.
