been going back and forth on which way to cage my cherokee. i think ive decided i want to build an exo cage. i know its gonna flop one day and i want to keep the body in decent shape. so ive been searching for exo designs and come up with a few i like. but i cant get a good estimate on how much tube im going to need. 40 feet was my guess...more...less? i dont want it looking like a jungle gym, but i want it strong

I think I bought 3 sticks to do mine - somewhere between 60-75 feet.

I have about 200' in mine, but there's a lot more cage, including internal. You should be able to calculate how much tube to order based on your cage plans.

40 feet isnt much tube for any kinda cage. Exo are big and take alot of tube.
Im pretty sure Im close to 100ft of tube.

This non Ex FJ40 cage I just finished afew months back was 5 sticks of 1.5in DOM. I only had 5 ft of scrap left.
Cage with triangulation, seatbelt braces, front hoop and tube fenders with rear fender tubes adds up to be alot of tube. It dosent look like much.
Id start with 3 sticks, thats enough to get started then decide if you want 1 or 2 more sticks.

ps....i've been drinkin.......ALOT

I think I ended up using 5 or 6 sticks total on mine (including screw ups :D). Was a combo of 1.75x.120 and 1.5x.120 DOM. Always buy more than you need for the project because you will ALWAY use it up in the long run.....
