Right now I am restoring a 77 cj5 with the amc 20 in the back with alloy one piece axles and welded diff. Also welded the axle tubes all the way around. Have the 30 in the front with a loc rite. 3.54 gears. I am gonna be running 36 inch tires and know that this stuff wont last to long behind a 401 and some moderate wheelin. I found this dana 60 and was gonna slowly start gathering pieces to switch to dana 60's front and back. Here is the description he wants 150 and its close to my house. Dana 60 rear axle housing.

These housings are new dana units. These had gear sets installed and then removed. These housings were never installed in a vehicle.

The housing includes:

35 spline 4.56 and up ratio open case (with spider gears)
Spring pertches (shown in picture)
Standard cover
1310 pinion yoke
The over all width is 55.6875 (55 11/16)

The folowing is avalable at extra cost:

I also have 35 spline Alloy USA shafts to work with this housing. That will net you a 61" wms. and have both a 5 on 5.5 and a 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern in them. These shafts are avalble separately .

I can also change the housing ends to any end you would like and also narrow to your specs if you like. Changing ends and narrowing is extra. Please email with questions or price quote requests for custom work.

Ends we can install (at extra cost)

49-64 Olds/Pontiac
8 3/4 Mopar & Dana 60 (car application)
Small Ford
49-72 Big Ford
Late model big Ford
If you don't see somthing you need please ask I might be able to help you with your axle needs.

The spring perches are setup for soa but I should be able to move them, correct? This is a centered unit I believe. def. would want to get the alloy shafts.

Other than the gear ratio difference and the width difference it should work fine. Its a good width for a jeep IMO.Price sounds reasonable. Its the front axle thats going to cost you.
