is lowering the mount on coil springs a good idea. for some reason i think no. but i gotts ta know for sure

How about more info? Are you trying for lift? Do you mean on the axle or the frame? Do you mean like putting a coil spacer in to achieve more lift?

i mean as if i was trying to lift it by lowering the upper mount so its got more lift then where it is normaly at. on the frame. and i guess like a spacer. i have no expierience with spacers though

It is not nescessarly a bad idea if you only do a couple inches just need to make sure that your coils don't bind into each other at full compression. You can also sometimes put a solid spacer between the axle spring cup and the axle. This is a bit easier on EB's for example.
