On Saturday, October 18th, myself and three friends on fat tire Yamaha motorcycles decided to ride the Rubicon. Each of us has never been on the Rubicon before and did not know what we were getting into. We started at Loon Lake about 9 am. I carried two bottles of water and a few energy bars. The same for the others. After a few hours into the ride they were gone and we were exhausted, but we went on. We ran into several 4 wheelers that offered us water and food which we gladly took. Up on Cadillac Hill one guy even helped push up the steep two sections. I have never met such helpful people as on the Rubicon and I am very thankful. Without your help we could have not made the trip. We rode from Loon at 9 am to Tahoe at 6 pm. We took HWY 50 back to Loon Lake and got lost on the way and made it back to camp at 9:30 pm. It was a long day but we made it.

Thanks to all and I will return the favor someday. Many thanks to the guys in the Cherokee's on Cadillac Hill, one of them had a "Jesus Rocks" sticker on the side window. You helped us a lot.

You are right...you won't find a more helpful bunch than wheelers (most of them). That was quite an undertaking for never running the trail before. Glad you made it through.
