Hey all, I have tried reading everything I can about D44 into Samurai axle swaps, just have one question that may or may not have been asked(sorry if it has). What are your opinions on the best way to get a spoa spring perch on the passenger side. I have heard of cutting/grinding the housing, or welding a flat perch on top of it. I have welding experience, I just really hate welding cast. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can check out my build for some pics of how im setting up my dana 44s but heres a pic of how i set up the perch on the passenger side...i ground the axle housing down so that i could use the u bolt holes and groove to locate them still and then rounded the top side and used perches i ordered from DATIN FABRICATION (www.datinfab.com) but had to grind the arch of the perch to fit how i rounded the housing...if you want more pics let me know and ill get em...
