WTF, guess the post disappeared, anyways heres what it was supposed to say

My registration is due today and I still dont have everything ready for the smog ref. the only thing i have left is the evap cannister / charcoal cannister what ever you call it. I just called the stealer and they want $110 for it :eek: and i haven't been able to find one anywhere else. Car-part.com doesn't even list one. Its for a 96-99 chevy 4.3 (blazer preferably) does anyone know where i can find on without gettin raped. new or used, doesn't matter as long as it gets me thru smog.

EVAP canisters are pretty much all the same. Just grab one from something else. It should work fine. I don't know if you'll pass CA smog with it, but I would suspect you'll be alright.

thing is it HAS to pass smog, and since I have to take it to the ref so they can pick everything apart, they will check it. Plus most of the ones i've seen have 3 lines goin to em, whereas the 4.3 only has 2 cause it uses an electronic purge valve.
