I did call and they are closed until Monday. Their site says nothing about it.

I think this is where it originally started:

http://coloradok5.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=ord&Number=482394&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1

They are just in development, won't be around until February or so.

66CJdean.

If you are waiting for John to call you don't expect it to be during the day as J&B Conversions is his after work job as an engineer.

Also, remember that he is in LA so you got the 2 hr time diff between CA.

You might want to give him home and work numbers unless you gave him a cell number of course.

I just looked up the wewb site and got the # from that. I didn't leave a message I just was calling to see if it was true or not. There message said they are out testing parts and wont be in until Monday so I left it at that. I di take into account the time difference and it was onle 12:45 PST when I did call.

One of the guys on CK5 posted this as a reply he got from JB Conversions.

"Will be a drop in gearset. We're prototyping now. With field testing,
revisions, production run time, etc. we are probably 5 months out. The
magazine tip came too early. Send a phone number and we'll put you on a
call-back list."

3 to 1 is hardly worth the trouble. Will probally be aroud $1000?Could throw a 203/205 combo in for a little more and have much lower gears.Or swap a 203 case in and put Wagoner gears in it for $1000.Isn't that one 3.6 to 1.Just my opinion.Blazin:D

It is for those of us who:

a: have a 94" wheelbase (no doublers allowed here)
b: like the strength of the 205 (including being able to use it as a skid plate)
c: Can't afford an Atlas.

Just MY opinion. If I had a longer vehicle, I'd do a 203/205 in a second.

Absolutely, the money spent on the 205's 3-to-1 would save anyone Doubly over a Doubler. Since we wouldn't have to purchase new driveshafts, or pay to have ours shortened and lengthed. That's worth anywhere from 50-600 buck to me.

I'm assuming with all the talk I've heard about low gearsets in D300s and D20's, that there will be *SOME* loss of strength, but not enough for most of us to experience problems. Now for those of you running 502big blocks and are heavy on the throttle...well....

hey dont talk like that.. i want to have confidence in my 3:1 gearset when i buy it. i wanna hear my bigblock, and not a 205 pinging and banging. i to cant fit a doubler kit, but i love my 205. IM real excited about this new kit. just hope its not to expensive.

I checked on the Wagoner Machine Shop site and they no longer list the 3.6:1 gearset for the NP203. Its now a 3.1:1 gear ratio, FYI.

My buddy was talking to Jim Tunnel of JIM'S OFF-ROAD here in Oak Ridge, TN. and he has spoken with these guys they only have 10 sets that they are testing right now. Jim's trying to get o ne so some of his buddies can fight over who uses it (Jim's got an Atlas II). Anyway.... 3 to 1 in the 205 is a lot BETTER than 1.96 to 1, plus for you doubler boys put the 3 to 1 in the 205 and the 3 to 1 in the 203, 6 to 1 is the transfer case(s)! Now that's crawling with selectability!

They multiply, not add, therefore it'd be 9.3:1 in the cases' :D

Here is what Stephen Watson (owner of OffroadDesigns, and the big green GMC Jimmy that took 2nd in last years TTC) posted on CK5 on their thread about this.

"John White's building the gear set. We've just been talking with him about marketability, options, testing, etc. We'll be carrying and installing them in cases for sure. I finally came up with a situation where I wanted more crawl than I have already. Not by much but a lower gear would have been nice to have.
Input configurations are still up in the air. Not sure what's going to happen 1st but 31,32 short, 27, and 10 are the front runners, not necessarily in that order but close to it.
I think any serious offroad vehicle over 100" wheelbase is still going to be best off with a Doubler kit 1st to get to 4:1, then maybe adding the low gears. Short vehicles or milder use trucks will be fine with 3:1 in the 205 and can always Doubler up in the future. "

I run a 3:1 Atlas and I assure you it is worth it when coupled with a 4L60E and 4.88's.

I am 45:1 (doubled to 90:1 for automatic) and that is perfect for the areas I wheel most where you need wheelspeed at times.

A 3:1 set in a 205 is an AWESOME mod for those of us that don't need 200:1.....

I say bring it, if it is cheaper than $1200, then you have a nice deal.
