Anybody useing diamond plate welded directly on to sheet metal? Can it take a pretty good dragging acrost rocks without folding in the sheet metal with it? How thick should it be? Pros/cons

where you plan on putting the diamond plate, put some smooth 1/8-1/4in sheet metal instead.. you could paint it to match your truck if you wanted.. personally i like the look of the shiney sheet metal <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

yea itll work good, but ask them for the smooth its usually not a big deal to have them cut ya some smooth plate... kinda sucks that they use 1/8 for the corners instead of 3/16..

This isn't what Steve was looking for, but Avalanche does sell 3/16" corner pieces, they also cover more than those ones.
