: 88 f-250 460 to C6/205

My Dad's E4OD is dying and so is the t/c in his 88 f-250 with a fuel injected 460.

Buying a C6 and a 205 to swap in. The C6 was behind a 400 engine so it should bolt to the 460 based on the search info. I also did a search but nothing really definate about the computer for the engine and the C6. I saw about the wiring harness and all...care to elaborate?

They didn't use the E4OD in 88 did they??

OK....I may have the year wrong but I KNOW it has an E40D...he just had it rebuilt two years ago....truck has a chain drive t/c.....

ANYWAYS...the question is how to make a fuel injected 460 live happily with a C-6.

Use an ECM from a EFI 460 + C6 truck???

get a EFI 460 5 speed ECM

You'll need a C-6 crossmember and new front and rear drivelines. Plus you will have to fab up the mount for the cast iron case.
