$ 18 bucks! That's highway robbery!
I get my 10 pounder filled for $ 8 bucks at Noel's in Farmington and they charge $ 10 for a 20 pounder.
I got mine filled this morning ... they do it on the spot in just a couple of minutes.
I talked price with the counter guys and they said CO2 was cheap.
BTW: The Nole's counter guys also said they are probably going to start putting a Power Tank knock off on the market and sell it through one of the off-road vendors set up across the the street at the Best Western where the Women's and Men's events hosted after talking to them this last week.
I forget which one they said ... maybe JP?
They said it will feature a polished aluminum tank, a 170 lb. regulator, and 25 ft. hose.
They said they were going to bring it in for around $ 200 wholesale.
I'll post more details when they get farther along with the project...

I thought that solon was still on Folsom Blvd on the west side just before that new Arco Station, just before you get to Blue Ravine?

Fier extinguisher shops do it for about 8-9 buck for a 10lb. I have mine done in Hayward for $8 bucks a bottle.

DEFINITELY a fire exstinguisher shop! Fresno area Jorgensen's does the 10 pound bottle for $10.
The local welding shop charges almost $22. That includes a Hazardous material charge of $3.

Do you know the name or location of the place. Hayward is a short drive for me and 8 bucks is cool.

This is an e-miail I received from Steve. Provided you have a "Powertank" you can get this deal. I had gone/called everywhere in the Sac area and was being charged around $20 to fill my tank. Here is the info: I now have a local source for CO2. The place is in West Sac. called Air Arc
Welding. If you go in there with a Power Tank bottle and mention the Power
Tank price they will fill a 10 lb. for $9.95.

Address:
617 Houston St.

PH: 372-4272

"Cliff" is the man.

Try a paint ball store. They fill it up for less than $10.

Good info guys... Thanks much. I talked to Gloria at Solon fire in Rancho Cordova also. They are close by where I work and she said they could fill it in about 10 or 15 minutes for around 10 bucks or so. I won't be able to make it over there today but I'll do it on Monday and post the details of exactly what it costs and all... That deal in W.Sac sounds pretty good too...

Thanks again...
