G'day folks, Just trying to do some research for my solid axle swap into my truck which is a '95 Chevy K2500 with a 5.9L Cummins turbo diesel swapped into it and I am looking for a good solid front axle with leaf springs. I read through the Dana 60 article on the board and got some good info. Just wondering what years might be the easiest to swap over etc....Any help is appreciated. The truck will not be an offroad beast but it will need to stand up to truck pulling, boosted launches, drag racing but mostly be a daily driver. The engine will be around 450hp and 900+ft lbs of torque. Thanks.

Either those, or if I were you, I might look into the 87-91 F350s Dana 60. The pigs closer to drivers side and I know on the Rainjuhs and F one fittys, that helps to be able to clear the crossmember for the engine a little more. Plus, these axles generally run a little cheaper pricewise as well. And the strength between the two is pretty much identical.
