okay... I am swapping a t18 into a 70 cj5. Problem is I can only find info on t18s with 1 1/16 or 1 1/8 input shafts. My t18 however is a 1" input shaft, and I can't find a clutch disk for it.
Does anyone know what this transmission came out of with that shaft?
I thought it was a cj tranny, but it would be 1-1/16"
I've checked and asked around everywhere... I just can't figure this out.
Thanks

Got a picture of the T18? Which shift pattern does it have?
What you might have is the T18 out of a 4 cylinder scout.

One more thought. If it's a T98 - which looks pretty much the same as a T18, then it could also be from a 4 cyl willys. Those are a 15/16" input

the side is stamped t18-1b
Reverse is right and up
it has the 6.32 -1 granny gear.
The input shaft may well be 15/16. I don't have calipers I had to use an adjustable wrench and ruler.

If it says T18-1B and the input is smaller than normal, I'd say 4 cyl Scout then.

ok... I appreciate the quick help. I'm going to see if I can make it work without changing the input shaft. Thanks

It is possible to have a disc made? I assume you know that. A little more expensive but sometimes its the only way .

It is a international. Clutch kit is 750 bucks. It seems my options are getting a disc made(don't know where to have this done) or swapping input shaft out.
I already searched google but does anyone know of any companies that make the disks?

You don't want to buy the whole clutch kit, just the disc. The pressure plate wouldn't fit your CJ
Shouldn't have to get anything made, you just need to know your shaft diameter, spline and clutch diameter. Then go into a real clutch shop and have them find you a disc by specs not application.

THIS IS NOT A SCOUT 18- Internationals used studs to bolt to the bell housing- the photo is a jeep 18- Only jeep t18s have the drivers side bolt holes close togther at the top.

Not true. The 4 cyl scouts used a case like what is in the picture. The rest of the international stuff had a case like you are describing and a super long input shaft.

I found a real clutch shop that has the disc I need, and for the record it is international and has the close bolt holes on drivers side, pto port drivers side.
thanks guys
